HOW TO USE

1. Part Hair: Divide your hair into 4 sections.

2. Apply Product: Apply 1-2 pumps to each section, focusing on the ends.

• For short hair, apply 1-2 pumps evenly around the entire head.

3. Pre-poo oil timing depends on your hair type and goal:

For most people:
• 20–45 minutes → enough to soften hair and protect during washing

For deeper penetration:
• 1–2 hours → better for dry, thick, or coarse hair

Longer (like 4–6 hours or overnight):
• Optional, not required
• Works best if your hair is very dry or you’re doing a deep treatment
• But too long can sometimes cause buildup or make shampooing harder

4. Wash Out: Rinse thoroughly using a Clarifying Shampoo.

5. Deeper Condition (Optional):

• Wrap your head with saran wrap or a shower cap.

I have been using the Re-DO PrePoo Low Porosity since 2019 and I honestly cannot do without it as the start point of my wash day process. It’s gets my scalp ready for the wash and I feel so clean and fresh after washing. My hair also get hydrated by using it consistently. I love this product. I bought the grow bundle last year and this got lost in my plethora of hair products. Finally used it last week and again today. I usually sit under the hair dryer to deep condition every week that I wash. I find that I actually have better results using this overnight (12 hours) washing with clarifying & moisturizing shampoo then using the deep condish in the shower (5-10 mins) my hair feels softer than it does when I sit under the hair dryer. I follow up with the leave in, yogurt, and gel. Perfect wash & go results.

Can I use Re-Do prep low porosity before doing a henna since it may prepare my low porosity hair to absorb better the color.

Hi Michele! Great question. I wouldn’t recommend using Re-DO PrePoo right before a henna treatment. Pre-poo oils create a light barrier on the hair, which can actually prevent the henna from binding properly to the strand.

For low porosity hair, you’ll get better color uptake by starting with clean hair and using gentle heat instead. A quick tip: apply henna to freshly clarified, slightly damp hair and use a warm cap or sit under low heat to help the cuticle lift so the color can adhere more evenly.

You can absolutely use the Re-DO PrePoo after your henna treatment in your next wash to restore softness and flexibility, especially since henna can feel a bit drying.

No, Redo Prepoo should not be used as a leave-in.

Here’s why:

It’s an oil-based treatment designed to break down buildup and nourish before shampooing, not to sit on the hair long-term.

Leaving it in can cause buildup, greasiness, or weigh down the hair, especially for low porosity types.

Instead, use it as directed:
Apply to dry scalp and hair, let it sit (15–30 mins), then shampoo it out.

If you want a leave-in that nourishes and protects, go with Hair Dew or Moisture Milk instead.
