Did Dye Damage Your Hair?

Is dyeing hair harmful?

While dyeing hair is a common practice, it can damage the hair shaft, making it fragile and more prone to breakage. Most permanent hair dyes use a combination of ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, and p-phenylenediamine (PPD) to color the hair. The agents in dyes can weaken and damage hair, which may make it look unhealthy. Hair dye can also change your hair porosity, especially when going lighter or using bleach. However, treatments such as conditioners and specially formulated shampoos may help repair hair damage from hair dye.

We have the Solution for you!

We suggest using the medium/high porosity Re-do prepoo and protein Condish every other week and using the low porosity Re-do prepoo and protein free Condish in between those weeks.

You should be fine with the styling products but if you find yourself needing more protein and aloe our Curling Custard and Hair Dew medium high can help with you as well.

You will also want to seal your style with oil especially as we are getting into the colder winter months.
